Shrimp

Shrimp are small, peaceful invertebrates that are highly valued in freshwater aquariums for their algae-eating habits and vibrant colors. Species like Cherry Shrimp, Amano Shrimp, and Crystal Red Shrimp are popular choices due to their variety of colors and ease of care. These shrimp are known for their active scavenging, constantly foraging for algae, detritus, and leftover food, helping to maintain a clean and balanced tank. Shrimp thrive in planted aquariums with plenty of hiding spots, such as rocks, driftwood, and dense plant cover, where they feel secure. They are best kept in peaceful community tanks with small, non-aggressive tank mates. Their small size, helpful cleaning habits, and striking appearance make shrimp a favorite addition to aquascapes and nano tanks.
